Boris Johnson: We will Not Extend the Transition Period after Brexit

The UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson retains the current transitional time period he decided with all the European Union in his Brexit package. The British will leave the EU on 31 January the coming year.

The changeover period of time within the deal works until December 2020.

The time period are able to be extended by another two years. This means that in the event the British House of Commons approves the offer, the EU guidelines will still pertain to the British until at least the conclusion of 2020.

However, they may be will no longer allowed to participate in EU judgements after January 31.

“The government is not going to extend the changeover time period,” said Johnson spokesman these days. “The prime minister feels you will see a great deal using the European Union by the end of 2020.”

He emphasised that all choices must be taken into account, together with a departure through the EU without a package.
