Israeli forces have killed four Palestinians in action in Jenin in the West Bank. More than 40 people have been injured, according to Palestinian authorities.
The Israeli police confirm that an attack took place on two Palestinians, who are alleged to be responsible for the attacks. When the Israelis surrounded a building, the suspects opened fire. An explosive device also went off.
A Palestinian militia group says one of those killed is the brother of someone who attacked Tel Aviv. Three people were killed.
Tensions between Israel and the Palestinians often flare up in the city of Jenin. Near the city is a refugee camp known among Israelis as a stronghold of Palestinian militias. The Israeli army regularly conducts raids in which people are killed.
