Iranian authorities have issued an arrest warrant for President Donald Trump and other U.S. officials.
They are held responsible for the death of General Qassem Soleimani, one of the most powerful men in Iran, according to Iranian news agency Fars.
The leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard al-Quds unit was killed in an attack with an American drone in Iraq early this year.
Iranian justice says 36 officials from the U.S. and other countries are being prosecuted for the death of Soleimani. They are suspected of murder and terrorism.
Trump is at the top of the suspect list, according to Attorney General Ali Alqasi Mehr. Iran plans to prosecute the President of the United States as soon as his term of office ends.
The Iranian authorities are also calling on Interpol. The police organization is asked to arrest the suspects.
