Chinese tech company Xiaomi has launched the Mi TV Stick, a media streamer in HDMI stick format with Android TV support.
The regular Google Chromecast, also with Full HD 1080p support, costs about the same as the Mi TV Stick.
With the newcomer, however, you will receive a Bluetooth remote control with direct buttons for Netflix and Prime Video, and a built-in microphone to address the Google Assistant.
Xiaomi not only profiles the Mi TV Stick as a media streamer for the home but also to take it with you on a business trip or during a holiday.
Just plug in the TV of the hotel room, connect to WiFi and you can also enjoy your favourite series there, games or other content available through the Android TV platform.
The Chinese manufacturer further emphasizes the support for Dolby and DTS surround sound.
Other specifications of the Mi TV Stick are the quad-core processor, the RAM of 1 gigabyte and the storage capacity of 8 GB. It is not yet known when the device will be released on the market.
